The Shadow Society is ongoing mystery school training for practitioners of the crooked path.

Each month, students work through structured coursework in a different realm of study: shadow work, deity partnerships, underworld journeys, ancestral healing, ritual magic. The curriculum is timed to the seasons so you're working with natural power.

You'll complete weekly practices, attend monthly live gatherings, and train alongside a community of serious practitioners. This is the path of the mysteries - descent, initiation, and the hidden arts.

This curriculum is the real deal. It works, very quickly, and isn't a ton of dense information buried under fluff - it's all right to the point. I can tell that Alex doesn't put out anything that she hasn't herself tested. I've learned so much about the metaphorical meaning of the shadow in all different cultures and the (dare I say) truth of reality. My magic has gotten infinitely better the more that I do the inner work and initiations. For anyone who is serious about witchcraft I cannot recommend the Shadow Society enough.

Fifteen years later, I finally found what I was looking for: my own shadow.

It started with trauma and disillusionment, a psychology degree that opened more questions than answers, and eventually, my first real initiations with Lilith, Persephone, and Hades. Then Hecate arrived and everything clicked into place. What I'd been seeking through years of tarot and new age work was actually the descent: the thread running through mystery traditions for millennia.

These days I work extensively with deity initiations, Qliphothic and Kabbalistic realms, and Western esoteric symbols, weaving together my Italian-Irish folk heritage with scholarly mystery traditions, all rooted in those liminal New England woods that raised me.

I train practitioners in shadow work, deity initiations, and the Western mysteries using the methods that mystery schools have used for centuries.

I don't have a lot of time. Is this going to cut into my family time/work/down time for me?
This training requires 2-3 hours per week. You get one assignment each week - a core lecture to watch, a ritual to perform, a shadow practice, or a journaling exercise.

Each practice creates direct results, and then the rest of your time is spent integrating what surfaces. The real work happens in your daily life as unconscious patterns reveal themselves, as you start seeing the hidden architecture of your reality, as symbols and synchronicities begin speaking to you.

You can do the weekly practices Sunday afternoon or Wednesday night, whatever works for your schedule. There are additional workshops in the library if you want to go deeper, but they're not required.

This is real-time learning. You do the practice, then you live with what it brings up. That's where the transformation happens - not in some separate sacred space, but in your actual life as you begin to see differently.

How do I know this isn't just more of the same rehashed content?
This is the training I wish I'd had fifteen years ago. This isn't another book that gives you theory with no practice, or another course that teaches you correspondences but not how to actually use them.

What if I’m new to the occult? Will I feel lost?
The training includes complete foundations for practitioners who need them. If you're new to shadow work, there's the Shadow Work Intensive. New to deity work? The Deity Work Primer covers everything from making offerings to recognizing when deities respond.

Start with the foundations, then move into the monthly curriculum. The structure is designed so you can jump in at any level (beginner or experienced) and have what you need.

The Society Forum also helps. Practitioners share their experiences, ask questions, and offer insights from their own work. You're not figuring this out alone.
What kind of results can I expect?
If you're doing the weekly practices and rituals, you'll start seeing shifts almost immediately. Shadow patterns you didn't see before become obvious. You'll see clear signs that deities are actually responding to your work. Your magic becomes more effective because you're working with aligned forces rather than fighting your own blocks.

The shifts compound over time. What starts as small recognitions in week one becomes major transformations by month three. By six months, you're practicing magic at a completely different level because you've integrated what was hidden.

This is real initiation: gradual at first, then suddenly everything clicks and you realize you've fundamentally changed.
What is the cancellation policy?
Memberships are billed either monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select.

Once you're in at $72/month, that rate is locked forever - even when prices increase for new members. Monthly memberships can be canceled anytime before your next billing cycle.
